In order to update to the latest version of bunq app and enjoy the best possible experience, you need to make sure you have a supported mobile device or tablet 📱.

Minimum device version

We always use the latest technology when adding new features and improvements to the bunq app. To continue giving you a banking experience that meets our standards for functionality and security, the bunq app will no longer be available on older Apple operating systems (iOS 15 and lower) from October 20, 2025.

The minimum device specs for using our app are:

• Android Lollipop 5.0+

• iOS: 16.0+

1. Open your bunq App

2. Go to your Profile, in top left corner

3. Scroll down

4. The OS version you are on will be displayed at the top

What if my device doesn't support the minimum device version?

If your device is of an older model, you may find that it doesn’t allow you to update to iOS 16 or Android Lollipop 5.0+. If you have an older device, we recommend getting a new one, as your current one won’t have the same safety and security features that newer devices do.
