Easily track your expenses by linking your external Bank Accounts, giving you a full view of your finances in one place with Spending Insights.

bunq categorizes all your payments automatically. One of the easiest ways to save money is knowing how you're spending it. With this in mind, we’ve introduced Spending Insights 🚀

How can Spending Insights help me?

If you want to establish good saving habits, tracking what you spend is a great first step! Research shows that seeing what you spend your money on can help you save up to 10%. Without any effort!

You can now add external Bank Accounts to your Spending Insights overview for a comprehensive view of all your finances. Your Money Insights screen will now reflect all your spending, both within and outside bunq.

Adding external Bank Accounts is currently available for our Dutch, German and French users. We’ll keep you updated as we’re adding more countries! More details on the Dutch, German and French banks available for the matter can be found here.

Looking to fill those Savings Goals and come up with even more ways to cut back on costs? This is an excellent tool to help you get there.

How do I filter the Bank Account in my Spending Insights?

To include or exclude a Bank Account in your Spending Insights graph, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on your Net Wealth from your Home Tab

  2. Select Insights from the top of your screen

  3. Tap on the three dots on the Spending Insights widget

  4. Select “Filter Bank Accounts”

  5. Choose the Bank Accounts you wish to include or exclude

How can I add my external Bank Account in my Spending Insights?

After you've successfully added your external Bank Account to your Home tab, you'll be able to include it into your Spending Insights, following these steps:

  1. Tap on your Net Wealth from your Home Tab

  2. Select Insights from the top of your screen

  3. Tap on the three dots on the Spending Insights widget

  4. Select “Filter Bank Accounts”

  5. Select your external Bank Account

How can I select a certain month?

If you want to dig deeply into your spendings by category for a certain month, you can select the month under Monthly Spending Breakdown in your Money Insights screen. You can also customize the start and end dates of your month to your personal situation.
