We understand that it can be quite a stressful situation when your card gets swallowed by an ATM. But don't worry, resolving this issue is quick and easy through the bunq app. In this guide, we'll walk you through the essential steps you should follow if you ever find yourself in this predicament.

Contact the bank owning the ATM

Firstly, you can reach out to the bank that operates the ATM. Most ATMs have a telephone number displayed on them for emergencies. Contact them and ask for their assistance in retrieving your card. If the ATM's bank can’t assist you, follow the steps outlined below.

Permanently block your card

If the ATM’s bank can’t help you, you can proceed to the app and permanently block your card through the bunq app. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the 💳Cards Tab

2. Select the card you want to block

3. Tap on ⚙️ Settings

4. Tap on Block Card

5. Select Block Permanently

6. Done 🎉

Order a new card

Once you permanently block the card , you can proceed by ordering a new one through the bunq app. Follow the steps below to do so:

1. Go to the 💳Cards Tab

2. Swipe and tap on Add Card

3. Select your card of preference and follow the flow
